More than 100 players enjoyed the first edition of the campus, organized in collaboration with Club Atlético Pilar of Buenos Aires and Nitidia Sport
Valencia CF and Argentina have historically been closely linked in the world of football. The club's history is rich with exceptional players from the South American nation who have contributed to the legacy of Mestalla: Mario Alberto Kempes, Fabián Ayala, Claudio "El Piojo" López, Pablo Aimar, Mauricio Pellegrino, Darío Felman, Miguel Ángel Valdez, and Kily González, to name just a few. This season, the recently capped international Enzo Barrenechea has joined that illustrious list.
This close connection between Valencia CF and Argentina has been further strengthened in recent weeks with the first edition of the Valencia CF Campus, held in Buenos Aires in collaboration with Club Atlético Pilar and Nitidia Sport.
OVER 100 PARTICIPANTS
More than 100 players enjoyed a full week of training at the facilities of Club Atlético Pilar, coinciding with the summer season in Argentina. Under the guidance of Marc Mallea, a coach from the VCF Academy and technical coordinator for the event, participants had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the methodology of the VCF Academy, ranked as the fourth-best in Europe for developing players to compete at the elite level.
“For me, Valencia CF is a family and a passion, and that’s what makes it so important,” emphasized one of the more than 100 young players from various parts of Buenos Aires province who participated in the training sessions. They enjoyed technical and tactical instruction as well as numerous activities and fun throughout the week, which also included time for the training of local coaches from Club Atlético Pilar.
A selection of players from this first VCF Camp in Argentina will have the opportunity to travel to Valencia CF to participate in a Training Experience at the Ciutat Esportiva of Valencia CF.
VCF ACADEMY PROGRAMS
The different VCF Camps that Valencia CF organizes in different countries around the world are part of the VCF Academy Programs of the different international projects that Valencia CF carries out to expand the Valencia CF brand and what its colors symbolize worldwide. The VCF Camps, the VCF Academies that Valencia CF has in America, Asia and Europe, the VCF Training Experience and the Coaching Clinics are part of the VCF Academy Programs that each year have more than 5000 children and 500 coaches from more than 50 countries.
